This is a film what every girls will scream "It's sooooo sweet"" after they finished watching the film. A gorgeous, Indo-Amercian crossover romantic comedy film. It base on the mixed culture love stort of a girl, Priya Sethi, (Shriya Sarah as an engagaed Indian) explores her life at the Mumbai-based customer-service center. She ended up has instant connection over the phone with her client, Granger Woodruff, (Jess Metcalfe as an NYC ad man). The two agree to meet up in San Francisco for their first date, they immediately hit off and tour the city. Improbably, unthinkably, they are falling in love...
I explained to my friend the other day that "The Other End of the Line" is no different from other Bollywood films. In the way it's quite similar to Aishwarya Rai's "Bride & Prejudice" and "mistress of Spices" Though it doesn't put all those Bollywood singing and dancing in the film but it does has all Bollywood film's elements, such as predictability factor, predictable romance plays and of course the Happy Ending at the end of the story.
I have put it here again. I was excited to get this film is not because of Jesse Metcalfe (The actor played in Desperate Housewives as Gaby's little affair works in the Garden) It was all because of HER!! Shriya Saran!!!
Loves they put Elvis Presley's "Can't Help Falling In Love" at the end of the film, that's one of my all time favourite oldie songs.
